Oh, Tom!

I'm watiching HBP and the memory with a 16 year old Tom Riddle.  His voice makes me melt...plus he's so deliciously evil!

That is all!

OH MA GAWD!!!!!

I have been completely living under a rock!  I cannot believe I didn't realize that this was out there.  I just found my new obsession.

I was looking around on hulu and watching I love the 80's.  Hal Sparks reminded me that I always wanted to check out Queer As Folk ( I mean I was like 12 when it started so I could never watch it).   So I looked it up on hulu and found the original UK version!!  I have fallen completely in love!!!!!!!!  So of course I stayed up until the current time of 4:30 am finishing all ten episodes.

I'm totally buying the dvds and looking into the American version.  The American version won't be the same without the accents, I think those were my favorite part!  But it still has really good reviews.  I loved it!!!

But I've got to keep it a bit undercover...my family wouldn't understand...they're a bit homophobic.  Not too bad, just a mild case, but still enough to turn their noses up if they ever knew how explicit it can be.  Nothing they can do about it of course; I'm 22 after all.

I better sign off...it is 4:30 after all and I have and early day!

And I put Draco and Harry in it! lol  Together and close to my heart! tee hee.  I'm extremely silly right now, and I love that it includes my ship!

I'll just go skipping now!

(no subject)

My guess is that this post will more than likely go unread, but I'm posting anyway.  I am new to live journal and have a grand total of 2 friends which I added after reading one's fan fiction and viewing the other's fan art.  It got me thinking that I may want to start writing some fan fics of my own, if I can figure out where to start.  I want to be a doctor, but after falling in love with ALL of my English classes in college, I figured what's the harm in writing on the side.  I have never written anything resembling fiction, but I'm willing to give it a shot.  I have all these ideas in my head that may result in some entertaining fan fiction, I hope!  I also have an idea for a novel, but I'm going to hold on to that one and write it only for myself at the present.  If any kind souls do read this, help me out with the whole friend thing.  Please!   Well now, that wasn't so bad...just putting what I feel down in writing!

Irene, out!

Writer's Block: Abandon hope, all ye who enter here

Do you think Web sites containing "adult content" should be legally required to post warnings? How would you personally define the rating scale? Do you fear this would place a chill on free/creative expression?

Website should put adult content warnings for their own safety.  Now a days, people will sue anyone for just about anything.  If a website has adult content warnings, such as nudity or explicit writings, and someone underage enters the site, the site isn't liable.  The warnings also help parents lock their computers against these site with adult content if they don't want their children seeing adult content.  I find that it doesn't "chill" free expression because most people see the adult content notice and enter the site regardless.  For some, the adult content warning acts as a beacon.
